HazMat Tech

Responsibilities
- Perform hazardous waste cleanup and disposal activities in compliance with safety standards.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment necessary for waste management tasks.
- Conduct chemical transfers and handling with precision and care.
- Use and maintain pumping systems effectively.
- Work in confined spaces when required, following safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Qualifications
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain before employment.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License.
- Familiarity with field equipment and tools.
- Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Pass a drug and alcohol test upon job offer.
- Experience in hazardous waste site cleanup and general laborer duties (Preferred).
- Proficiency in using personal protective equipment (PPE) (Preferred).
- Knowledge of respiratory protection and chemical hazards (Preferred).
Compensation
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
