Senior Revenue Accountant

Our client, a rapidly growing AI-focused technology company, is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its finance team.

Location

San Francisco, CA. This role is on-site, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

This role is critical in managing revenue recognition, cost‑of‑sales accounting, and ensuring accuracy across financial reporting. The position offers exposure to a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and the opportunity to help scale accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Execute revenue recognition workflows in accordance with ASC 606 and company policies.
• Prepare reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, AR, unbilled AR, and accrued cost of sales.
• Maintain cost‑of‑sales schedules and ensure accuracy across GL and subledgers.
• Prepare journal entries and support month‑end close processes.
• Perform internal controls over revenue and financial reporting; maintain documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (RevOps, FP&A, Legal) to ensure data integrity.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and high‑growth company experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, with emphasis on ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, XLOOKUP).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment preferred.
