Engineering Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized Engineering Project Coordinator to join our OEM Components division in Goleta, CA. This is a contract position designed for a self-directed professional who excels at bridging the gap between technical teams and administrative operations.

The successful candidate will support our R&D and Thermal Engineering units by managing complex schedules, organizing critical engineering data, and ensuring seamless cross-functional communication.

Role Overview

• Location: Onsite (Goleta, CA)
• Term: 1-Year Contract (April 2026 – April 2027)
• Pay Rate: $24 per hour
• Schedule: 40 hours per week (Standard Business Hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule Management (50%): Create and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project. You will collaborate closely with project managers and line managers to track deadlines and ensure alignment across multiple internal groups.
• Administrative Support (20%): Provide general administrative assistance to support daily engineering operations and departmental efficiency.
• Data Organization & Control (20%): Develop and maintain robust systems for storing and controlling electronic engineering data for internal use.
• Cross-Functional Support (10%): Act as a liaison for special projects involving Finance, Global Trade Compliance, Legal, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience : Prior coordination experience in a professional environment.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Legal: Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident).

Preferred Skills & Background

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Software: Functional knowledge of SAP.
• Soft Skills: Highly organized with a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple shifting priorities.

Work Environment

This role sits within the Engineering R&D cost center and supports high-level project management teams. You will be expected to work onsite at our Goleta facilities to facilitate direct collaboration with the engineering and program teams.
