Reception and Weighing Operations Associate

Receptionist - Full-Time Location: 18700 E. River Road, Ripon Compensation: $20/hour Schedule: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM

McManis Family Vineyards is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our front office. As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you'll play a key role in creating a professional and positive experience while supporting essential administrative operations. This role is especially vital during Harvest season, where attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome visitors in a warm, professional manner
• Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls
• Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and presentable
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
• Provide general administrative support, including data entry and filing
• Assist visitors with inquiries and direct them to the appropriate departments
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Harvest-Specific Responsibilities:

• Operate the scale to measure incoming grape, wine, and juice loads
• Ensure all weighing equipment is calibrated and functioning properly
• Accurately record weights and other relevant data in logs or digital systems
• Maintain detailed records of grape varieties, vineyard sources, and delivery times
• Provide weigh tickets to truck drivers and keep organized copies for winery records
• Help direct delivery and pickup trucks to the appropriate locations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Bi-lingual candidates are strongly preferred - English/Spanish

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Capability to lift and move objects up to 36 lbs, as necessary
