About this Role:

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) in the Compliance & Contracts Unit of the Policy Operations Branch (POB), Medi-Cal Eligibility Division (MCED), performs the less complex analytical assignments related to the Department of Health Care Services’ (DHCS) compliance with State and Federal statutes for the Health Care Mandates. The SSA may assist higher level staff and/or the SSM with: policy development and implemention; the promulgation of regulations; stakeholder engagement and communication; contract management and administration, collaboration with various business partners; and review, research, and analyze inquiries related to the IRS Form 1095-B project. The SSA may also perform analytical assignments that advance data privacy and security of Medi-Cal eligibility data.

Working Conditions

This position offers a hybrid work schedule as outlined in the telework information section below; the amount of telework is based on the operational business needs. This position is currently eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in person a minimum of two days per week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.

Telework Information

This position is currently eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in person a minimum of two days per week. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS’ Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 – 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.

Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
