What You'll Do
- Answer incoming calls and respond to accounting-related emails.
- Support accounting team members with various tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate customer billing instructions for each account.
- Edit and generate invoices using company-provided software.
- Process and match invoices with the appropriate bills.
- Ensure proper documentation is included when sending invoices.
- Retrieve remittance information from various websites.
- Post manual checks and wire payments to correct general ledger (GL) dates.
- Complete daily online remote deposits and provide detailed notes for exceptions.
- Process accounts receivable (A/R) adjustments using the correct GL accounts.
- Work with IT support for system updates and troubleshooting.
- Assist in resolving invoice or payment discrepancies with sales and claims teams.
- Process claim checks and adjustments.
- Research and resolve banking discrepancies, including stop payments.
- Assist with annual 1099 processing.
- Process daily electronic payments and weekly check runs.
- Handle accounts payable (A/P) adjustments accurately.
