($9,741 - $11,334 Monthly)

The Department of State Hospitals – Coalinga is now accepting applications for a Permanent Full-Time Program Director (Mental Disabilities-Safety) position in Social Work . Under direction of the Clinical Administrator, the incumbent is responsible for the overall management of the social work program that provides care for individuals residing in the state hospital.

Working Conditions

The employee is required to work any shift and schedule in a variety of settings throughout the hospital and may be required to work overtime and float to other work locations as determined by the operational needs of the hospital. All employees are required to have an annual health review and repeat health reviews whenever necessary to ascertain that they are free from symptoms indicating the presence of infection and are able to safely perform their essential job duties.

Telework: This position is eligible for one (1) day of telework per week and is subject to supervisor approval.

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
• The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• Experience working in and/or in collaboratioin with government agencies
• Experience working with confidential information
• Knowledge of Discharge Planning
• Experience providing clinical supervision
• Customer Service Experience
• Has current and valid licence as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
