The Web Development Supervisor manages development of the franchise communications web properties including the extranet, franchise community platform and communications app. He/She works with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver web pages and sites that are accurate, on time, easy to navigate, and meet brand standards. The Web Development Supervisor supervises the Web Development Specialist.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manages project lifecycles, including project scope, contract support, resources, schedule, initiation, start-up/design, building, and deployment to see projects from beginning-to-end.
- Works with vendor resources to develop HTML and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) in line with web design and brand guidelines to ensure UPS brand standards (e.g., font size, color palette, spacing, etc.) are followed.
- Identifies and designs solutions to improve the process for updates to site content for subject matter experts.
- Assists in preparing statements of work for vendors to ensure accurate quotes are received.
- Manages vendor project plans to keep deliverables on schedule and management informed of progress.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge and experience with web content management systems
- Understanding of HTML and CSS technical languages
- Ability to balance multiple projects and expectations, while meeting all deadlines
- Ability to work with multiple subject matter experts to develop engaging content to support company initiatives
- Bachelor's Degree in Web Development, Web Design, Application Architecture, Computer Sciences or related field - Preferred
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
- Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions
- Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
- Must have knowledge and experience with web content management systems
- Must have an understanding of HTML and CSS technical languages.
PAY GRADE 20E
Salary Range Estimate: Annual Salary: $69,180.00 - $98,640.00 We offer a competitive compensation plan that includes, but is not limited to: Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits, Employee Assistance Program, Personal/Sick Paid time, Educational Assistance Program, 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Vacation , Basic life and voluntary group life insurance programs, Health Savings, Flexible Spending and Dependent Care accounts, Discounted Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Adoption Assistance Benefit, & Paid Holidays (8 per year). This position is also eligible for a bonus based on company performance. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer. Note: For union-represented postings, wage rates and ranges are governed by applicable collective bargaining agreement provisions. Select sales positions may be eligible for commission .
