Atelier Assistant
We are looking for an Atelier Assistant to join our team in our Los Angeles studio! The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for aesthetics, be detail-oriented, and be able perform repetitive, high-precision manual tasks. Familiarity with operating a heat press or being able to hand silk screen would be beneficial. However, training for these skills can be provided. Additionally, a passion for innovation, creativity, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges are highly desirable qualities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Duplicate embellishment layouts from original salesman samples on bulk production
- Ensure composition of embellishment layout is balanced when replicated across production size runs
- Operate heat press machine with precision and consistency
- Assist with hand silk screening bulk production
- Identify potential production issues and troubleshoot with team members
- Perform quality control inspections on completed embellishment pieces
Requirements:
- Must have excellent time-management skills - consistently be able to make deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Background in a creative field preferred
- Cutting and sewing skills or garment construction knowledge are a plus
- Available to work Monday-Friday in our Hollywood, Los Angeles office
- Ability to frequently stand for extended periods of time
- Regularly required to lift 25+ pounds to operate machinery
- English, additional language(s) an advantage
