Assistant Manager, SF Airport
Company Background
At Proper Food, we make it a cinch to eat well on the run. We craft our fare by hand fresh every morning the only way we know how – with whole, seasonal ingredients sliced, chopped and seasoned with care. Nothing phony or factory-made. Just good, proper food that’s packed and ready to go. We cook all our meals from scratch each morning in our commissary kitchen and deliver them to our stores each day. At the end of each day, unsold meals are donated to local food banks.
Proper Food launched in San Francisco in 2014 and has rapidly grown to fifteen stores in the SF Bay Area, one at SFO Airport and four in New York City, earning accolades from customers, food critics and local media. Proper Food SFO’s location in Terminal One has been a favorite of travelers and employees since its opening!
The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will be overseeing the daily function of our Proper Food SFO location in Terminal One, with the support of your General Manager. The SFO team consists of 15-25 team members. You will be responsible for cultivating the culture of the store, and your management style will influence the flow of each business day. We are looking for someone who is communicative, dependable, friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking to manage our SFO location in Terminal One.
This location is open daily, 365 days of the year, and our Assistant Manager will be required to have open availability to be on shift to support the GM and team as needed. All our food is prepared and packed at our off-site Commissary and delivered daily to our Stores in grab-and-go packaging. In-store food prep is limited to heating meals when requested and bagging items.
If you are a strong leader who is passionate about people, energized by the idea of changing the way people eat on the go, and full of positive energy, this may be the position for you.
