Assistant Budget Officer - Hybrid Telework
Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Budget Officer (Manager II), the incumbent serves as the Assistant Budget Officer (Supervisor II), directly supervises three Supervisor Is, and indirectly supervises three analysts. The incumbent oversees a variety of difficult and complex functions and responsibilities related to the development of the November Estimate and May Revision caseload updates for the Department’s annual budget, organizational-level budgets, fiscal policy, research and expenditure forecasting in support of the administrative operation of headquarters and the state hospitals.

Working Conditions
- This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento. A hybrid Telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.
- The State’s Commute Programs provide bicycle, mass transit and vanpool incentives to eligible state employees. The State’s mass transit incentive pays 100% of the transit pass up to the IRS maximum of $325 per month in 2025.
- DSH-Sacramento is located at an 11 floor high rise building.
