Staff Accountant

Compensation - $32-$38 / hr
Location - Moorpark, CA

• Reconcile bank statements and track daily banking activity.
• Prepare account reconciliations including researching and resolving any reconciling items.
• Assist with the month-end close process including journal entries and variance analysis.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and other financial and statistical data reports, in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensures confidentiality of financial data and customer records.
• Property Tax reporting, Sales and Use tax reporting.
• Assist with preparation of audit supporting schedules for external auditors.
• Develops, implements, and monitors systems for general accounting.
• Analyzes, reviews, and audits overall general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree with an Accounting major
• 1-3 years accounting experience
• Microsoft Excel intermediate level
• Great Plains software experience preferred
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
