Research Data Supervisor I
Job Description and Duties
Under general direction of the Research Data Manager, Projections and Estimates Section, Office of Research, the Research Data Supervisor I has supervisory responsibility for coordination and oversight of specialized and various analytical functions related to adult population projections, population impact estimates, and program evaluations for the Projections and Estimates Section. Additionally, the Research Data Supervisor I may work independently and collaboratively to perform quantitative and qualitative data-driven research and statistical analysis related to CDCR’s Populations. Research Data Supervisor I uses Statistical Analysis Software (SAS) and/or other statistical tools (such as Python) to support complex data analyses and may use SAS and system modeling software such as Simul8 for population modeling and forecasting; and visualization, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to prepare charts, tables, presentations, and research reports for a variety of audiences.
The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access to real-time updates throughout the hiring process. Working Conditions
The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position. You must be regularly available and willing to work the hours necessary to meet business needs.

Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
