Service Advisor – Automotive Dealership
Location: Vacaville, California
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $36,000 - $150,000 annually
Compensation may include base pay, commissions, bonuses, and incentives depending on experience, performance, and the dealership compensation plan.
Join Our Team
Hyundai of Vacaville is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Service Advisor to join our growing service department. The Service Advisor is the primary point of contact between our customers and our service team. This position requires strong communication skills, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to provide an excellent customer experience while helping customers properly maintain and repair their vehicles.
The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, sales-minded, and able to work in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers promptly and professionally.
Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
Create repair orders and communicate customer concerns clearly to technicians.
Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines, vehicle inspections, and customer needs.
Prepare estimates and obtain customer authorization for repairs.
Communicate repair status, timelines, pricing, and completion updates to customers.
Coordinate with technicians, parts department, and management to ensure efficient workflow.
Review completed repairs, invoices, and recommendations with customers.
Maintain dealership CSI and customer satisfaction standards.
Follow all Hyundai, dealership, manufacturer, and safety procedures.
Build long-term customer relationships through excellent communication and follow-up.
Support service department goals for customer retention, sales, and fixed operations performance.
Qualifications
Previous automotive service advisor experience preferred.
Automotive dealership, customer service, or sales experience is a plus.
Hyundai experience is helpful but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Basic computer proficiency required.
Experience with dealership management systems is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the dealership for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures and moderate noise levels.

Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skill set, certifications, business needs, performance, and applicable incentive programs. This range represents the employer’s good-faith estimate of compensation expected to be paid for the position at the time of posting. Commission and bonus opportunities may apply.
