Line Cook/ Prep Cook
Kitchen Istanbul is looking for a dependable and hardworking Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. We're a busy neighborhood restaurant with many regular guests, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and values being part of a supportive team.
This role combines both prep and line cooking responsibilities . You'll work closely with Chef Busra Ayvaz , helping prepare ingredients, maintain your station, and execute dishes during dinner service. Everyone on our team helps wherever needed, so we're looking for someone with a positive attitude who is willing to jump in and support the kitchen.
Responsibilities- Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep lists
- Set up and maintain mise en place for service
- Cook and plate dishes accurately and consistently during dinner service
- Follow recipes and portion standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Assist with receiving deliveries, stocking, and kitchen organization
- Support fellow cooks and help with all kitchen duties as needed
Candidate Qualifications:
- Prior kitchen experience
- Ingredient knowledge and a willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Weekend evening availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Compensation
- $23.00 per hour + tips
- Weekly tips vary depending on restaurant volume
