Employee Benefits Specialist (San Diego)

Client: Leading Insurance Firm
Title: Employee Benefits Client Manager
Location: San Diego, CA 92101
Expected Duration: Full time - FTE
Salary: $100,000 to $115,000 Per Year
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a book of employee benefits (group health & welfare) clients
- Own renewals & new business lifecycle end-to-end
- Market to carriers & negotiate coverage, pricing, terms
- Lead open enrollment and client onboarding
- Handle claims, billing, COBRA & eligibility updates
- Maintain data in AMS (EPIC) and deliver client service excellence
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years employee/group benefits account management
- California Life & Health License (required)
- Strong experience in renewals, carrier negotiations & open enrollment
- Hands-on with AMS (EPIC preferred) + Excel/PowerPoint
- Strong client-facing, communication & relationship skills
