Staff Software Engineer
Position: Staff Software Engineer
Location: Downtown San Francisco, CA
Salary Range: $23,800 - $240,000
Work Schedule: In-office

This role is for an experienced backend developer passionate about building impactful customer applications. You will tackle complex problems, iterate quickly, and contribute to a collaborative team pushing boundaries in modern procurement software.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Ruby on Rails, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with front-end teams utilizing React and TypeScript, as well as other cross-functional teams to drive customer-focused solutions.
- Utilize your expertise in PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Docker to build robust, secure applications.
- Take ownership of development cycles, with an emphasis on fast iteration and immediate customer feedback.
- Engage in knowledge sharing and contribute to a supportive, innovative team environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 4+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, with knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Proficiency in Docker, with experience in high-growth, venture-backed startups.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (React/TS preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excited to work on-site in San Francisco with an international, agile team.
