Compensation

• Base Salary: $160,000 $250,000 (Target range: $160,000 $180,000; higher possible for candidates with 8+ years of experience and exceptional background)

Tech environment

• Languages: Golang, TypeScript
• Frontend: React, TypeScript
• Infrastructure: Kubernetes, cloud-native systems (e.g., AWS or GCP)
• Focus: High-scale backend systems, API design, infrastructure ownership

Role summary

• Hiring two backend-heavy Full Stack Engineers to help scale an AI-driven platform.
• You'll work on core backend infrastructure and contribute to frontend features. Ideal for hands-on engineers with systems expertise and a founders mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems and infrastructure
• Own APIs, backend services, and cloud infrastructure
• Contribute to React/TypeScript frontend (30-40%)
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership
• Work onsite 2-3 days/week in SF office
• Thrive in a high-performance, fast-moving team

Must-have qualifications

• 4-10 years of experience in software engineering
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in Golang
• Strong coding skills with Golang
• Deep understanding of backend systems, APIs, and databases
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript
• Experience building and scaling backend systems from scratch
• Experience at large tech companies or high-growth startups with high traffic/scale (e.g., Lyft, DoorDash, TikTok)
• Strong technical background with a degree from a top CS program (not bootcamps)
• Founder mindset: hard work, independence, ownership
• Willingness to work long hours
• Passion for AI-driven technologies
• Flexibility and 'no ego' attitude

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working at social or mobility platforms (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, DoorDash, Lyft)
• Worked in early-stage startups or Series A/B environments
