The Teaching Assistant will be administratively supervised by the Assistant Chief, Education of Recovery Mall Services and clinically supervised by a teacher, vocational instructor or ACE in the Recovery Mall Services at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:- Assists the teacher and/or instructor with presenting lessons and other classroom or day treatment program activities in individual or group settings
- Assists staff in the counting, distribution, and accounting for all tools and items
- Attends administrative and professional staff meetings
- Staff development activities
- Recovery Mall Services meetings
- Discipline-specific professional development programs
