Under direction of the Senior Oil and Gas Engineer (Supervisor), the Engineering Geologist will function as a Field Engineer within the Northern District’s Sacramento office. The incumbent will perform activities associated with the development of natural resources both independently as well as in a team environment.

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION: If new to California state service, you will need to have taken and passed the examination for this classification in order to be hired for this position. If you are a current state employee, but do not have transfer eligibility or list eligibility, you will need to have taken and passed the examination for this classification in order to be hired for this position. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet Minimum Qualifications, the applicant will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Working Conditions

This position provides hybrid telework opportunities, with employees required to work in-person at: 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 at least two days per week. Alternative work locations will not be considered.

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
