Description:

ENG- Designs, implements, and maintains distributed storage, networking, and edge computing infrastructure supporting aircraft data analytics across globally dispersed locations. Develops secure, resilient compute and storage solutions while ensuring system performance, data integrity, and operational availability. Supports infrastructure growth, automation, process improvement initiatives, and technical planning activities within a multi-site environment.

#Education & Job Requirements
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
*9+ years of experience designing and maintaining secure, resilient distributed environments consisting of 20+ sites
*Proficiency with storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage solutions
*Knowledge of networking concepts and secure VPN implementation
*Capability to configure and manage Windows and Linux servers
*Expertise in developing automation solutions using Python and PowerShell
*Experience supporting data analytics environments
*Familiarity with edge computing architectures and distributed storage systems
*Background in aerospace or data analytics domains
*Ability to develop acquisition and spending plans aligned with business and technical objectives
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

#Preferred Skills
*Certifications related to storage technologies such as SNIA, NetApp, or EMC
*Certifications related to networking, such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+
*Experience with scripting or automation tools beyond Python and PowerShell
*Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in distributed environments
*Demonstrated ability to identify process improvements and develop supporting business proposals
*Ability to lead and coordinate multiple teams across geographically dispersed locations
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

#Job Duties & Functions
*Architects, deploys, and maintains edge computing and storage infrastructure across global edge sites
*Designs and implements secure VPN connectivity between edge locations and centralized compute and storage hubs
*Manages and optimizes storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and related storage platforms
*Configures and maintains networking and server hardware and software in Windows and Linux environments
*Collaborates with geographically dispersed teams to support implementation and maintenance activities
*Oversees storage and management of large-scale aircraft data generated across multiple locations
*Supports integration and operation of software tools used for aircraft data analytics
*Develops automation scripts and tools using Python and PowerShell
*Identifies opportunities to improve business processes and technical capabilities
*Develops and presents business proposals supporting operational improvements
*Creates acquisition and spending plans for infrastructure growth and technology upgrades
*Ensures data integrity, security, and availability across storage and compute resources
*Troubleshoots complex storage, networking, and server issues
*Provides support outside normal business hours when required
*Documents system architectures, configurations, and operational procedures
