Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

The Policy Division, Licensing Policy Branch, General License Automation & Development Unit, is seeking a team-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills to join our team!

The incumbent will serve as a business area liaison to the Information Systems Division (ISD) and will be responsible for business rule program logic related to the automated processing of general and commercial Driver Licensing (DL), Identification (ID) cards, Occupational Licensing (OL), Driver Safety (DS), Data Security, DMV web services, and other related functions. This position coordinates with ISD and users relating to data storage requirements, program logic charts, system design, user acceptance testing, analysis and resolution of production problems affecting operational units, and support of projects from inception through implementation.

Working Conditions

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.

Works in an office setting under artificial light. Will be exposed to basic office equipment such as a computer, printers, copiers, fax machine, and telephone.

Adaptability, resilience, innovative mindset, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Dependability and computer skills. Familiarity with FileMaker Portal, Service Now (SNow), and Application Life Cycle Management Octane is desirable.
