Pharmacy Tech I: Filling Technician
Job Responsibilities:
- Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescription, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with the specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.
- Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices.
- Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices.
- Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant (packer) as needed.
- Responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed.
- Responsible for cleaning all pill counting devices/equipment and general working areas. center experience; preferably in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.
Skills:
- Three months of work experience as a pharmacy technician. Prefer three months of work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment.
Education/Experience:
- Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required. Active CA pharm tech license (with no infractions or violations)
