Reception and Admin Coordinator (Turlock)
Reports To: Director of Finance and Administration

Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:45 am4:15 pm
Pay Range: $20-$25 per hour
Position Summary
The position serves as the first point of contact for families, visitors, and community partners at Jessicas House. This role requires exceptional compassion, professionalism, and discretion while managing front desk operations and providing administrative support to staff. They will assist with grief support scheduling and volunteer staffing. The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and comfortable working in an environment that supports individuals experiencing grief and loss.

Key Responsibilities
Front Desk & Guest Interaction
Greet all guests and callers with empathy and professionalism.
Answer phone and direct calls or messages appropriately.
Schedule volunteers for evening groups.
Provide grief support services and family intake procedures.
Connect grieving families with support staff with empathy and professionalism.
Maintain a calm, welcoming environment for guests
Administrative Support
Manage daily mail, deliveries, and office correspondence.
Unlock doors and disarm alarm each morning.
Prepare and stock grief materials, brochures, and welcome packets.
Assist with event and group logistics (e.g., printing, room setup, sign-ins).
Facility Support
Monitor cleanliness and presentation of lobby, waiting areas, and front desk.
Coordinate with vendors or internal staff for office maintenance or supply restocking.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
2+ years of receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
High emotional intelligence and the ability to maintain composure in emotionally intense situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, counseling, hospice, or nonprofit setting.
Written and verbal Spanish fluency.
Familiarity with confidentiality practices (e.g., HIPAA compliance).
Work Environment
This position is based at the front desk of a quiet, supportive facility where clients may be grieving the recent loss of a loved one. The Reception and Admin Coordinator should be emotionally resilient and able to provide a stable, kind presence.
