This individual contributor will be responsible for sourcing, contracting, and managing all procurement efforts tied to capital project execution — including infrastructure, plant construction, specialized equipment, and external engineering services. The role will focus on supporting building and implementing fit-for-purpose procurement systems, developing and executing purchasing strategies, and designing cost avoidance initiatives to ensure long-term financial efficiency in capital project delivery. Support the building and implementation of procurement systems, tools, and processes tailored for global capital project execution.
Develop and execute purchasing strategies that align with corporate objectives, project schedules, technical requirements, and global supply market conditions.
Design and implement cost avoidance strategies, including supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing, and value engineering opportunities specific to capital projects.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define technical scopes, commercial terms, and procurement schedules that integrate with overall project plans.
Prepare and manage RFP/RFQ processes, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, change orders, and delivery schedules.
Monitor and analyze procurement activities, cost trends, contract performance, and market data to support project and corporate decision-making.
Ensure sourcing and contract strategies align with corporate governance, safety standards, and project delivery requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
Coordinate with suppliers and engineering firms for design deliverables, factory acceptance testing, equipment inspections, and project delivery logistics.
Travel internationally as required for supplier engagement, project site support, and contract execution activities.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant work experience.
7–10 years in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, or Construction, with a strong track record in capital project and engineering services procurement.
Demonstrated experience in applying and adapting procurement systems and processes for large-scale, multi-country projects.
Strong background in purchasing strategy development, contract negotiation, and cost avoidance initiatives in a global capital projects environment.
Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills.
Experience sourcing capital equipment, engineering services, construction services, and infrastructure contracts across different regions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, actively prioritize, and multi-task.
Why Join Us?
At Mariana Minerals, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team reshaping the way critical minerals are sourced and supplied globally. You’ll have the autonomy to make big decisions, the tools to innovate, and a culture that values ownership, smart automation, and collaboration.
