Position Summary

The Healthcare Dispatcher / Communications Operator is responsible for managing high-volume inbound and outbound communications, coordinating services, and ensuring timely, accurate information exchange within a healthcare environment. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work non-traditional schedules, including weekends and overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer and manage multiple phone lines in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Dispatch and coordinate healthcare-related services appropriately and efficiently
• Accurately document calls, dispatch activities, and related information
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external contacts
• Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, tracking, and reporting
• Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
• Maintain professionalism during high-stress or urgent situations

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience handling multiple phone lines required
• Dispatch experience preferred, ideally in healthcare or similar environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure
• Must be reliable and able to work weekends

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Schedule & Training

• Training Schedule:
• Day Shift: Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (3 weeks)
• Swing Shift Training: Tuesday–Friday (2 weeks)
• Post-Training Schedule (Final Assignment):
• Most likely Graveyard Shift: Thursday–Monday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Final shift assignment to be determined

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Murrieta, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
