An established and successful law firm specializing in providing legal services to clients in significant and sophisticated commercial and class-action litigation, as well as all facets of Unclaimed Property Law and Litigation.
- We are seeking a Legal / Administrative Assistant position at our Sacramento, California to become part of our team! You will be providing overall support to the attorneys’ business needs. We’re looking for a team member to accomplish tasks such as doing research, handling paperwork, helping attorneys with projects, taking part in client interviews, and learning about daily affairs in the legal field.
- Roles & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in preparing legal documents such as legal memos, list of exhibits, letters, affidavits, and email correspondence.
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings.
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Draft various court documents, invoices, and enclosures at attorneys’ requests.
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes.
- Complete case related work and assigned tasks in a timely manner; and support smaller projects as requested by the managing attorney.
- Assist in administrative tasks. Record and store client information internally.
- Organize legal memoranda and client correspondence.
- Research legal issues presented by cases.
- Proofread documents and submit them to attorneys for review.
- Prepare motions and interrogatories.
- Observe and participate in client meetings.
- Other matters and tasks assigned by the managing attorney.
About you
- To qualify for this position, you must have at least a bachelor's degree, and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant or Legal Assistant is a plus.
- Familiarity with legal research (Westlaw or LexisNexis).
- Working with confidential documents and under confidentiality obligations within a law firm.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize projects, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Must be deadline, detail-oriented, and well-organized with the ability to multi-task between matters and projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Competitive hourly based on experience.
Standard Monday-Friday schedule.
Work Location: In person (Sacramento Office)
