Field Support Technician - Hybrid Telework

Job Description and Duties

Under direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Specialist I performs a wide variety of tasks in support of Department of State Hospitals requiring regular innovative problem-solving within broadly stated and non-specific guidelines, including multiple program areas, and involving planning, developing, and implementing technological solutions that are essential to the mission of DSH.

The primary duties of the IT Specialist I lie within the Client Services domain of the IT Specialist I classification. This includes elements such as the full lifecycle of end-user device solutions including evaluation, configuration, provisioning, training, security, tracking, and support for an end-user computing environment.

Working Conditions

• This position reports to the Patton State Hospital in San Bernardino County. A hybrid Telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.

Statement of Qualifications

A Statement of Qualifications (SQQ) is required and must be submitted along with your State application. SQQ should be titled "Statement of Qualifications" and your name appearing below it in the page header, and the header contents should be centered. Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below. Applicants that do not submit the required SQQ will be disqualified.

3. Please describe your experience reading construction and or electrical drawings .
