CBS Sacramento, the owned and operated duopoly in West Sacramento, has an immediate opening for a full-time news photographer/editor. We are looking for a candidate that would possibly work and live in the Stockton-Modesto market. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a working knowledge of the XDCAM EX camera and GRASS VALLEY editing systems. Candidates should have a working knowledge of live trucks, bonded cellular packs, and be able to travel at a moment’s notice. We are looking for storytellers and team players. - 3+ years of television experience covering breaking news, features and sports.
- Sound journalistic judgment working with a reporter or solo
- Passion for visual storytelling and putting together natural sound pieces
- Excellent lighting skills.
- Deadline oriented a must
- Proficient non-linear editor on all platforms
- Experience operating microwave, bonded-cellular packs and/or satellite trucks.
- Valid driver’s License and excellent driving record a must (don’t apply if you have any outstanding issues)
- Ability to work any shift, night or day, weekends and holidays
- Occasional travel in a moment’s notice and overnight stays when needed
