Job Description and Duties

We are located within the California Environmental Protection Agency network of agency partners that are committed to protecting all Californians and the environment. We are looking for a highly motivated and adaptable individual to join our team.
As an Office Technician (General) you will have the opportunity to:
- Plan and implement a preventive maintenance program for the safety and integrity of the vehicles and to maximize fuel efficiency
- Schedule vehicle maintenance appointments with approved vendors. Schedules and transports vehicles for service, coordinating with the Department of General Services (DGS) Office of Fleet and Asset Management (OFAM), State Vehicle Inspector, and DGS-authorized commercial vendors for repair and washing as needed
- Follow through on repairs for any vehicle problems reported by staff
- Verify vehicle repair invoices and submit them to the Regional Administrative Manager for approval and submission to the accounting office
- Maintain electronic repair logs for all vehicles
- Collect and review the Monthly Travel Logs (STD. 273) from each vehicle for completeness and enter data into the DGS OFAM database
Desirable Qualifications We Look For:
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety inspection procedures
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and outlook scheduling
- Experience with mailroom and reprographics operations
- Organizational skills and cross team collaboration
Working Conditions
