Salary Range: $180k - $200K - $235k

GENERAL PURPOSE

PBS Biotech is a private company based in Camarillo, CA that produces the easiest-to-use and most technologically advanced bioreactors for the cell and gene therapy industry. Our single-use bioreactors are fully scalable for any stage of the cell culture process, from R&D to clinical to cGMP production. We provide top-notch technical service for our products in addition to contract process development services to help our customers solve complex cell culture challenges.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and competitive Senior Director of Global Business Development. This is a great opportunity to join a high-growth company that is focused on enabling commercial scale up of cell and gene therapies. This is a newly created position for PBS.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

• Mentor and motivate the sales team as well as recruit for future growth.
• Create and communicate monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and budgets. Ensure C-level executives know the progress towards budget and forecast.
• Develop and execute strategic rolling 3 year plans to achieve sales budget and expand the company's customer base.
• Assess the competitive landscape and institute changes to the sales program in response to competitor changes and industry standards.
• Create and Implement sales training and orientation program to educate new hires as the company grows.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and contract process development services to customers and prospective customers.
• Confer with customers and prospective customers to assess cell culture equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
• Collaborate with application and field service engineering team to understand customer requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

Knowledge/ Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline. Chemical or Bioprocess Engineering preferred. MBA a plus
• Minimum 8 years industry experience with 5 or more in sales and sales management roles
• Experience in cell culture, bioprocess, bioreactors, cell and/or gene therapy all desirable
