Typical job responsibilities include:
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and assembly instructions.
- Assemble cabinet frames, doors, drawers, shelves, and hardware.
- Measure, cut, and fit wood or other materials accurately.
- Install hinges, handles, drawer slides, and other cabinet hardware.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely.
- Inspect finished cabinets for quality, accuracy, and defects.
- Sand, clean, and prepare cabinets for finishing or shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow company safety procedures and production schedules.
- Report damaged materials, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Work with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Package and prepare completed cabinets for delivery or installation.
Skills and qualifications:
- Ability to read measuring tapes and blueprints.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Teamwork and time management skills.
- Previous woodworking, carpentry, or manufacturing experience is preferred but not always required.
