Machinist

Operate various machinery including lathes, mills, drills, saws, and CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications. Manual machining experience is highly advantageous. Accurately interpret technical drawings and schematics, ensuring precision through measurement and inspection using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, saws, and CNC machines.
• Interpret and read technical blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Use precision measurement tools to inspect and ensure tight tolerances.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on equipment.
• Inspect finished parts and document any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of machining experience with lathe, mill, drill, and saw.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and CNC programming.
• Proficiency in shop math and precision measurement.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma required; vocational training or associate degree preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rio Vista, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
