Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) SNSN SN
Location: San Luis Obispo,CA.
Shift: Rotating 8s – 6:00 AM–2:30 PM / 8:30 AM–5:00 PM / 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Duration: 13 weeks
Job Duties
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA).
• Provide perioperative patient care in spine, orthopedic, and robotic surgery cases.
• Maintain sterile field and support surgical team during procedures.
• Participate in rotating call coverage, including weekdays and every 3rd weekend.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures per facility guidelines.
Requirements
• Active RN license in state of practice
• RNFA experience required
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required
• Minimum 3 years recent specialty experience in spine, ortho, and robotic surgeries required
• ACLS and BLS required
• PALS preferred
• CNOR preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
