Live-in Housekeeper - Full-time - Rancho Santa Fe, CA [SH]

A private household in Rancho Santa Fe is seeking an experienced, dependable, and professional Live-in Housekeeper to support the daily upkeep and organization of a large estate property consisting of a five-bedroom residence and guest house.

This is a full-time, long-term position for someone who takes pride in maintaining a beautiful home and enjoys working independently while collaborating with an established household team. The property already employs a long-term Houseman/Landscaper and a Saturday Housekeeper.

The ideal candidate is pleasant, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a semi-formal household environment.

Schedule & Hours

• Monday through Friday

• Typical schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• 30-minute lunch break

• Two to three evenings per week, schedule shifts to approximately 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• Occasional additional hours may be available for special events or entertaining

The homeowner provides additional compensation if assistance is requested outside of regular hours for dinner parties or special events.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Household Care

• Perform both light and deep housekeeping throughout the residence and guest house

• Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living spaces, and common areas to a high standard

• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and detailed cleaning

• Organize household spaces and maintain overall household presentation

• Assist with seasonal cleaning projects as needed

Laundry & Garment Care

• Laundry, folding, steaming, and ironing

• Proper care of household linens and clothing

• Maintain laundry areas in an organized and efficient manner

Household Support

• Grocery shopping and household purchasing as needed

• Run household errands using personal vehicle

• Assist with general household organization and upkeep

• Support the smooth daily operation of the residence

• Prior housekeeping experience in a private home preferred

• Strong English speaking and reading skills

• Comfortable using internet-based maps and navigation systems

• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Detail-oriented and dependable

• Able to work independently and manage time effectively

• Comfortable maintaining confidentiality and respecting household privacy
