Position Summary: Server/Supervisor

As a Server/Supervisor, you will be responsible for setting and maintaining the highest standards of service and hospitality for our restaurant. This is a hybrid role acting primarily as a server but will be trained to cover Management shifts once a week and as needed. There is potential to grow this role over time for the right individual. This is a nonexempt job. You will report to the General Manager. This is up to 35 hours a week with no overtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• POS operation and order input
• Set a positive tone in the restaurant and among the staff
• Ensure that the restaurant is running efficiently and delivering the highest level of hospitality to ensure guest satisfaction
• Manage activities for the staff including huddle ups
• Answer phone and take reservations
• Greet guests
• Work with BOH to stay up to date with any changes in menu ingredient and/or availability
• Communicate problems to General Manager
• Expedite and run food as needed
• Bus tables
• Oversee side work and daily cleaning assignments
• Maintain a clean work area and support the overall cleanliness of the restaurant

Physical Requirements

• Carry cocktail trays and large oval trays frequently
• Carry boxes and re-stock deliveries occasionally
• Lift up to 10 pounds frequently
• Bend down to lift items frequently
• Can work up to 8 hours on feet occasionally
