Director of Administrative Services
Henner Tank Lines is looking for a highly organized and proactive Director of Administrative Services to lead and strengthen administrative operations at our Vacaville office . This senior leadership role will oversee key business functions including Human Resources, Billing, Payables/Receivables, and Compliance .
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in financial and HR administration, proven leadership experience, and a proactive, hands-on approach to managing a team and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all HR operations, including payroll processing, employee benefits, compliance with labor laws, and full-cycle recruiting and onboarding.
• Oversee financial administrative processes, including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage company-wide compliance functions, ensuring adherence to internal controls, state/federal requirements, and industry regulations.
• Deliver responsive support to both internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Develop and implement efficient administrative systems, policies, and tools that improve accuracy, productivity, and transparency.
• Directly manage and coach administrative team members, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.
• Collaborate with company leadership to support operational initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
• 5–10 years of progressive management experience in administrative services, with direct oversight of both HR and financial operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial processes (billing, A/P, A/R) and HR functions (payroll, benefits, and hiring).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven ability to implement systems, drive accountability, and manage change effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook and Excel), or similar software
Must complete job-relevant skills testing prior to final offer of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in the transportation or oil & gas industries.
• Background in financial operations or compliance auditing.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or similar field
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools.
