Job Description and Duties
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor I, the Office Technician will serve as support to the OTI Administrative Support Unit. The incumbent works effectively with a variety of levels of staff, various OTI teams and will be required to multi-task in an efficient manner. Demonstrate initiative, good customer service, independence, and originality in performing assigned duties. The Office Technician performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative functions as assigned.

Working Conditions
The DMHC has locations in Downtown Sacramento and Rancho Cordova. Both locations are located close to light-rail with various amenities. The incumbent will work in a climate-controlled cubicle and/or office environment with artificial lighting.
This position may be eligible for hybrid telework. The telework schedule is permitted at the operational needs of the Department and is subject to change, consistent with the State Telework Policy and the DMHC’s Telework Policy. All employees who telework are required to be California residents and maintain California residency in accordance with Government Code 14200.
Special Requirements
- The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

Desirable Qualifications
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
1. Experience working in customer service and/or administrative support, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, professionalism and confidentiality.
2. Experience creating and/or updating documents; including items like procedures, work logs, and/or trackers.
3. Experience processing documents such as contracts/procurements and invoices.
4. Experience assisting and/or coordinating meetings and/or scheduling appointments or interviews in a hybrid or in-person format, including scheduling in Outlook , Zoom, and/or Teams platforms.
5. Experience with Microsoft Office 365; specifically Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Forms, and/or OneNote.
6. Ability to be flexible in adapting to changes in priorities and assignments.
