Product Manager
The Product Manager will be instrumental in advancing the company’s product vision, strategy, talent, and processes to establish HCIM as a leader in healthcare automation. This role will be essential in shaping the product and technology strategy, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions, and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence.
Key Areas of Responsibility
The Product Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Co-develops, owns, maintains, and executes a written product vision, strategy, and roadmap including new products, feature enhancements, and other development projects with relevant prioritization based on external research (primary and secondary research leveraging surveys, market participant interviews, 3 rd party data analysis, etc.) and internal discussions with cross-functional stakeholders (analytics, design/user experience, engineering, and user enablement) across HCIM.
- Produce business case presentations which identify key assumptions/thesis, quantified value to customers, internal development cost estimates, and revenue projections for ROI.
- Works in an Agile environment, leading sprint planning and backlog refinement.
- Continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
- Turns data insights into products with actionable outcomes to the customer.
- Works with user-focused departments to define the self-service user experience, support, and monitoring for customers.
- Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
- Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders.
- Leads the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology.
- Defines and executes go-to-market plan, working to ensure that product management, marketing, and sales have what they need to be successful. This can include generating marketing collateral, sales decks, sales enablement materials, and demos.
- Develops and maintains appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment.
- Work collaboratively with legal to review deliverable sections of contracts and relevant sections of 3 rd party license agreements.
Professional Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven leadership in guiding cross-functional teams—including engineering, UI/UX, sales, marketing, and product operations—toward a shared product vision, fostering collaboration to accelerate feature delivery and maximize business impact.
- Proven experience in strategic planning for multi-year product roadmaps, balancing new market opportunities, customer needs, and technical feasibility to drive long-term growth and competitive differentiation.
- Proven track record of delivering data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.
- Established background in launching software and services in partnership with engineering teams and a high degree of proficiency in prototyping, iterative development, and understanding of Agile principles.
- Experience successfully driving end-to-end delivery of data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g. dashboards, APIs, real-time alerts, etc.
- Experience with health care claims processing, provider data management, authorization, and eligibility processes preferred.

Outcomes
A successful candidate in this role will accomplish the following goals in their first two years at HCIM:
- Develop and publish a written product strategy including a quarterly product roadmap for the next 18 months, which prioritizes new product development, existing product enhancements, and large architecture investments based on the market opportunity and potential benefit to current and new HCIM customers.
- Establish a standard product release cadence and successfully launch at least one meaningful product feature enhancement within the first 12 months.
- Select a new core administrative system to build SymKey automation for, build the product charter including robust return on investment analysis based on market research, and secure at least one signed letter of intent with an early adopter client within 18 months.
- Additional objective measures will include the expansion of solutions in existing customers and new customer wins.
