roles and Responsibility -

Responsibilities: -

Lead the architectural design, development, and optimization of backend systems and APIs that support digital channels, including web and mobile experiences.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, leveraging modern integration patterns (such as API Gateway, GraphQL, event-based system, and Kubernetes).

Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and best practices in line with enterprise and cloud-first strategies.

Drive the adoption of reusable patterns and components to accelerate development and promote consistency across digital products.

Ensure backend tools and services are resilient, observable, and support non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, and high availability.

Integrate with key enterprise platforms, including authentication (e.g., ForgeRock), content management systems, analytics, and personalization engines.

Guide teams on effective use of tracing, logging, and monitoring to support a resilient and high-quality customer journey.

Participate in governance processes to ensure compliance with architecture standards and alignment with business goals.

Mentor developers and engineers on backend technologies, design patterns, and emerging technologies relevant to the digital landscape.

Collaborate closely with enterprise architects and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with broader technology strategies and roadmaps.

Skills: -

Mandatory skills

• Deep expertise in designing and implementing APIs (REST, GraphQL), microservices, and integration layers (e.g., Apigee Hybrid).
• Experience with authentication and authorization frameworks (Oauth, ForgeRock and Apigee preferred), cloud-native architectures, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements, including security, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and guide teams toward best practices.
