Warehouse Operations Operator

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supply the production area with kanban raw materials, perform Kanban audits, and transfer materials to and from the warehouse.
• Transfer released products to the warehouse and maintain an organized production area.
• Participate in raw material inventory cycle counts accurately and follow QSR, ISO, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Use computer systems to track shortages and perform all necessary transactions related to the job.
• Ensure smooth material flow by bringing required materials to the production area and moving work in process and finished products to appropriate areas.
• Generate documentation for material movement, monitor material movement throughout the day, and notify the Shift Leader or Production Manager of any actual or potential shortages.
• Work with the warehouse to manage material requisitions, ensure adequate raw material levels, and move work in process to the staging area for the next operation.
• Sort and stack materials according to company policies and assist in maintaining inventory of indirect materials and supply items.
• Actively participate in Lean Activities and perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience Required

• Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Preferably medical device manufacturing).
• Needs to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Deals with routine situations requiring the exercise of judgment.
• Performs manual calculations, verifies documentation.
• Interprets information obtained from a computerized inventory system.
• Writes neat and clear information in inventory records.
• Uses mechanized material movement equipment.
• Heavy work requires constant moving or lifting of objects, walking, and pushing to move materials.

Eligibilities & qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED.
• Able to read and write English.
