Job Description: Molding Technician I

Location: Fairfield, CA

Schedule: 2nd & 3rd Shift, Monday – Friday

Pay Rate: $21.00/hour (DOE)

Position Summary

The Molding Technician I is an entry-level role that supports the Production Department by assisting senior-level technicians in daily manufacturing operations. This role is designed to build technical skills through hands-on training, close supervision, and gradual increase in responsibility. Candidates with prior production or manufacturing experience are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in daily molding and production activities
• Learn and apply company quality standards by inspecting molded parts for defects
• Support quality processes and help identify potential issues under supervision
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials (hazmat) in designated areas

Training & Development

• Receive on-the-job training from experienced technicians
• Develop skills in molding operations, quality inspection, and safety compliance
• Gain increasing responsibility as skills and competencies improve

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to company safety policies and environmental regulations
• Follow proper procedures for hazardous waste handling and disposal
• Promote and maintain workplace safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude or interest in manufacturing environments preferred
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team setting
