We’re seeking a strategic and highly experienced Director of Integrated External Communications to lead the next evolution of Keysight’s PR and social media function.

This director-level role will provide senior leadership across the media relations and social teams while looking holistically across external communications, executive communications, investor relations, internal communications, and corporate storytelling to determine how best to elevate Keysight and its core narratives.

This role is responsible for transforming how Keysight shows up externally, moving beyond PR and social execution toward a more proactive, integrated, campaign-led communications model. You will help shape and amplify Keysight’s most important stories across media, social, executive platforms, investor-adjacent messaging, internal amplification, and the Keysight newsroom.

The ideal candidate is a strategic communications leader who can translate complex technology and business priorities into clear, differentiated narratives; align stakeholders around a common story; guide high-impact media and social activations; and ensure Keysight’s message is consistently reinforced with customers, employees, investors, media, partners, and industry audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and operating model for integrated external communications, ensuring PR, social media, executive visibility, newsroom storytelling, IR-adjacent narratives, and internal amplification work together to elevate Keysight’s core narratives.
• Provide strategic leadership, prioritization, and coaching for the PR and social media function, working through existing functional leads to strengthen planning, execution, and impact.
• Partner closely with executive communications, investor relations, internal communications, thought leadership, brand, product marketing, web, events, and regional teams to align Keysight’s stories across audiences and channels.
• Develop proactive, campaign-led communications programs that strengthen Keysight’s reputation and market position in priority areas such as AI infrastructure, 6G, grid modernization, defense tech, portfolio transformation, and innovation.
• Translate complex technical, business, and market trends into clear, compelling narratives for media, customers, investors, employees, partners, and industry influencers.
• Guide media relations strategy, including proactive storytelling, journalist engagement, spokesperson preparation, message development, launch support, and issues readiness.
• Elevate Keysight’s social media presence as a strategic reputation and amplification engine, ensuring social content supports priority narratives, executive visibility, media moments, and newsroom storytelling.
• Shape the Keysight newsroom as a strategic storytelling destination that brings together press releases, customer stories, expert perspectives, thought leadership, videos, and proof points.
• Create annual and quarterly communications roadmaps tied to company priorities, launches, strategic campaigns, events, executive platforms, and market moments.
• Establish measurement frameworks and leadership readouts that evaluate communications impact beyond activity, including quality of coverage, message pull-through, share of voice, executive visibility, social engagement quality, traffic to strategic content, and narrative consistency.
• Manage agency partners as needed, ensuring external partners are aligned to Keysight’s strategy, messaging standards, execution expectations, and performance goals.
• Provide counsel to senior leaders and stakeholders on communications strategy, message clarity, audience relevance, risk, and reputation impact.

• 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, external communications, executive communications, social media strategy, or integrated communications.
• Proven experience leading PR, media relations, social media, or integrated communications teams in a complex B2B, technology, industrial, enterprise, or engineering-driven environment.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical and business topics into clear, compelling narratives for external audiences.
• Demonstrated experience developing proactive communications strategies that build reputation, executive visibility, market influence, and message consistency.
• Strong media relations background, including proactive story development, spokesperson preparation, message development, launch support, and coverage analysis.
• Experience integrating communications across PR, social media, executive communications, internal communications, investor relations, thought leadership, brand, web, events, and product marketing.
• Excellent executive presence with the ability to advise senior leaders, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and make clear recommendations.
• Strong writing, editing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
• Experience building operating models, planning rhythms, governance processes, and measurement frameworks.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and bring structure to a high-volume communications environment.
• Experience managing agencies or external communications partners.

• Experience partnering with investor relations or translating business strategy into investor-adjacent narratives.
• Experience building external executive thought leadership platforms or CEO/executive visibility programs.
• Experience evolving a newsroom, corporate storytelling hub, or integrated content platform.
• Familiarity with social intelligence, media monitoring, competitive analysis, share-of-voice reporting, brand health data, or AI-enabled communications tools.
• Experience leading communications through business transformation, brand repositioning, portfolio evolution, or complex market shifts.
