Front Desk Reception and Test Proctor
Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist and Test Proctor supports the Admissions Department by overseeing daily front office operations and ensuring a professional, welcoming experience for visitors and prospective students. This role is responsible for exam proctoring, appointment coordination, data tracking, and general administrative support. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a team-oriented environment, demonstrates strong customer service skills, and maintains a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the reception area to ensure effective internal and external communications while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
- Proctor admissions and make-up exams in a secure, distraction-free setting.
- Gather, organize, and maintain data related to Admissions activities and applicant files.
- Review and summarize reports to identify trends and keep department leadership informed.
- Maintain both electronic and physical files for incoming cohorts, tracking required documentation and following up as needed.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing department meetings and special events.
- Take accurate meeting minutes and distribute them to appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Coordinate scheduling and appointments for department leadership.
- Participate in special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and interpersonal communication.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of standard office procedures, protocols, and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
- Compensation : $21.00–$23.00 per hour. Compensation is based on education and experience.

Work Environment:
- Standard office/classroom/lab or clinical setting.
- Duties are typically performed while sitting at a desk or computer workstation.
- May include time spent in skills labs or bedside environments as required by the program.

Physical Demands:
- Regularly sits for extended periods.
- Physical ability to perform program- or department-related duties.
- Proficient in using electronic keyboards and office equipment.
- Effective verbal communication via phone and in person.
- Ability to read fine print, operate computers, and understand voices clearly.
- Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing 10–25 pounds as needed.
