Regional Medical Officer - Internal Medicine Physician

We are seeking an experienced full-time Regional Medical Officer to lead our internal medicine team in Downey, CA. This role is ideal for a seasoned physician who combines exceptional clinical expertise with strong leadership and administrative skills. The RMO will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and supporting strategic initiatives for growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and oversight for internal medicine providers, ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to best practices.

Develop and implement policies to enhance patient care, efficiency, and quality outcomes.

Collaborate with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives and optimize clinical operations.

Supervise, mentor, and support physicians and advanced practice providers to promote professional development and high performance.

Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to patient care, safety, and satisfaction.

Serve as a liaison between medical staff and administration, fostering effective communication and alignment of organizational goals.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.

Requirements:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Board Certification in Internal Medicine.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Internal Medicine Physician, including at least 3 years of administrative or leadership experience.

Strong understanding of healthcare management, clinical quality improvement, and medical staff leadership.
