Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule drivers and routes to efficiently meet customer needs and maximize productivity.
• Prepare route sheets, work orders, and maps for drivers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Monitor two-way radio communications and regularly check in with drivers to verify work completion and accuracy.
• Assist with communication to contracted city officials as required.
• Accurately enter tickets, data, and record statistics related to driver performance.
• Answer and process incoming customer calls, providing excellent customer service and handling overflow as needed.
• Support daily operations by performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a dispatch or similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of Sacramento area highways, roads, and geography.
• Ability to quickly manage information and provide clear directions using two-way radios.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and act independently.

Compensation

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour , depending on experience. This is a full-time, hourly position. Schedule will be determined within operating hours of Monday – Friday, 3am - 1pm, with rotating Saturdays. Must be available to work during holidays as needed.
