Development Officer Advancement

: Grand Canyon University! One of Arizona's leading institutions of higher learning. Located in the Valley of Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is a regionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University. Are you someone who excels in a fast-paced team environment and enjoys creating opportunities for students? GCU is currently seeking a Development Officer to help identify, develop, and secure gift and sponsorship opportunities for GCU, while also maintaining positive relationships both internally and externally. What you will do:

• Work alongside the GCU Advancement team to develop and close strategic gift and sponsorship opportunities.
• Regularly review specific university assets that can be leveraged to maximize gift and sponsorship opportunities.
• Maintain an active portfolio of prospects & supporters within the GCU database. Engage in a minimum of 252 quality interactions annually with these prospects.
• Collaborate internally within GCU to develop partnerships for gift activation.
• Participates in other duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Flexible hours to include some weekends and evenings.
• Strategic and creative thinking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to be a flexible and reliable team player.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
