Keysight’s Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located in Santa Rosa, CA exists to provide precision machined components that enable the capabilities of Keysight’s industry leading electronic measurement equipment. As Machining Operations Supervisor, you will lead a highly skilled team operating our machining and tooling areas with a focus on Milling and Turning Machining applications and processes.

• Ensuring a safe work environment.

• Coordinating day-to-day production activities of employees.

• Providing team leadership, coaching, development, and fostering a cooperative and effective work environment.

• Capacity planning by resource based on company revenue needs and NPI support needs.

• Implementing solutions to team and department challenges.

• Tactical execution of business processes and controls.

• Accountability for department performance against operational metrics including productivity, process yield, manufacturing variances and continuous improvement activities.

• Developing and maintaining partnerships with managers and key stakeholders in all related functional areas to assure processes, schedules, and resources meet business goals.

• Following quality guidelines with strict adherence to the Quality Management System working closely with Quality and Engineering support.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or apprenticeship strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a machining environment (mills and/or lathes).
• 1–3 years of supervisory or lead experience in machining operations.
• Experience with ERP/MES systems, travelers, and digital timekeeping.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supervising swing or second shift CNC operations.
• Experience with multi‑axis CNC equipment and automated cells (robots, pallet systems).
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement background.
• Experience supporting machinist apprentices or trainee development.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, fixturing, and offsets.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.

Pay Range:

USD $76,870.00 - USD $128,120.00 Year
