**Job Description**
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Service Technician with a strong background in solar systems and electrical troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SolarEdge PV systems and microinverters, coupled with a solid understanding of both DC and AC electrical systems. A background in construction is highly beneficial, as is the ability to think systemically and troubleshoot potential issues.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on DC and AC electrical systems.
+ Service and maintain PV projects, including systems with microinverters, DC conductors, PV inverters, AC equipment, and BESS systems.
+ Manage and execute EV charging scopes.
+ Work independently on service tasks, requiring minimal assistance.
+ Use shared calendars to manage and prioritize service tickets.
+ Travel to and from service sites, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 2 years of commercial experience in solar systems.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting DC and AC electrical issues.
+ Experience with SolarEdge hardware and systems.
+ Ability to work independently and efficiently in a service role.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5-10 years of solar experience or a Journeyman background.
+ SolarEdge O&M certification.
+ SolarEdge installation certification.
+ OSHA 30 certification.
+ Experience with EV charging systems is a plus.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is primarily service-oriented, with technicians working on a 4x10 AWS schedule, typically starting between 7-9 am. Technicians usually work solo, but support is available when needed, especially for full inverter replacements. The role involves travel within a set territory, with service trips typically completed in one day. A company vehicle is provided for travel to and from service sites.

This is a Contract position based out of San Jose, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
