Materials Planner
- Maintain accurate information in MRP system, including item attributes, Bill of Material, production routings, and customer and production schedules.
- Monitor MRP, shortage lists, and related indicators to determine 100% material availability and a high rate of inventory turn to ensure 100% on-time customer delivery; utilizes audit reports and key performance metrics.
- Maintain master schedule or management of entry.
- Evaluate purchased part material requirements and plans supply.
- Release internal production work orders.
- Coordinate cross functional activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production processes.
- Implement Engineering Change Notices.
- Replace materials timely due to non-conformance or scrap.
- Identify and communicate a detailed status on any material planning items impacting the production schedule (e.g., part shortages).
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the materials group and lead improvement initiatives; achieve 100% material availability; increased inventory turnover; transaction, variance, and work order reduction; standard MRP set-ups and physical material flow across multiple programs.
- Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred. A combination of related experience and education may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 - 5+ years of direct related experience.
- Effective communications skills, both verbally and written.
- Ability to identify and deliver results on time and on budget.
- May be asked to work extended or irregular hours as required.
- Must show proof of ability to work in the United States.
